How Long Wine Lasts Open

Posted on

New Wine

One of the biggest questions to wine makers is how long does wine last after it has been uncorked. Clearly, the ideal answer is “Why is there leftover wine?”
HOWEVER…… Should you be asking yourself this, we have a quick guide for you!
  • Sparking Wine: 1-3 days with a sparkling wine stopper
  • Light Wine and Rose Wine: 5-7 days while in the fridge with a cork in the bottle
  • Full-Bodied White Wine: 3-5 days in the fridge with a cork in the bottle
  • Red Wine: 3-5 days in a cool dark place with a cork
  • Fortified Wine: 28 days in a cool dark place with a cork
  • Bag in a Box Wine: 28 days in the fridge
So should you find yourself needing to save your fabulous Fire Mountain Wine and use it for another day, follow the above rules.
